The term ‘basics’ can be referred to as fundamental, key or indispensable phenomenon whilst ‘innovate’ is derived from the Latin word "innovatus" meaning to "renew or change". Thus, resulting in the term Basics Innovate.

BI Consult is constituted as a consultancy aimed at employing the fundamental principles of business (re)-engineering to renew the central practices and processes underpinning management, administration and strategy in the public and private sphere. Research, education/training/skills transfer, capacity building and human resource development form the core of our operations.

BI Consult is a wholly black-owned agency, founded on the basic principles of African ethics system and the elements of contemporary business practices. Our team of experts have extensive experience in Research Methodology/Procedures, Facilitation's, Performance management, Team building exercises, Strategic Planning, Reviews and Analysis, Events management, Skills development and Organizational development. These include pursuits in the public and private sectors within South Africa, SADC/Africa, the Middle East as well as first world economies. Stated differently, the BI Consult team offers a one-stop shop of expertise covering the multi-disciplinary. In the past two years the BI Consult has been involved in various research projects on demand side management strategies for the Department of Water Affairs, Gauteng Legislature, Water Services Regulation, and The Swedish Centre for Development Cooperation, Forum.

Based on the principles of ‘efficiency’ and ‘efficacy’ we thus provide contextualized services that are sensitive to the dynamics of the South African and African developmental landscape.

These strategic objectives and priorities focus, among others,on poverty reduction and unemployment; human resource and skills development; social cohesion and sustainable communities; African advancement; and sustainable resource management.

The further ‘progression’ of the developmental state has been articulated in the MTSF to steer a political trajectory of critical constitutionalism and an economic path of growth and development. BI Consult is thus research-driven, developmentally motivated and constitutionally inspired.
